Senegalese journalist Ngoya Ndiaye won first prize in the "Environment" category at the African Media Network for the Promotion of Health and the Environment (REMAPSEN) Awards, held on the sidelines of its 4th annual forum in Cotonou, Benin.

The 4th REMAPSEN Forum concluded with a recognition and celebration of African journalistic excellence through the network's traditional Awards ceremony. At this event, the first prize in the "Environment" category was awarded to Senegalese journalist Ngoya Ndiaye, recognized for the quality, relevance, and impact of her work on environmental issues.

Through his work, Ngoya Ndiaye distinguishes himself by rigorously and passionately addressing environmental issues, helping to raise public awareness of the close links between the environment, public health, and sustainable development. The jury commended his journalistic approach, which combines education, investigation, and social utility.

The REMAPSEN Awards annually recognize the best African journalists in several categories, including print, radio, television and online media, for their contributions to promoting health and environmental protection.

The ceremony was held on the sidelines of the forum organized this year in Cotonou, dedicated to neglected tropical diseases, a theme at the heart of the continent's health concerns.
