«Le régime ne doit pas…» : Cheikh Niass avocat de Youssou Ndour

In an interview published this Monday in Walf Quotidien, for the ten thousandth issue of this publication of the group of which he is CEO, Cheikh Niass spoke at length about the situation of the Senegalese press. He noted the new regime's desire to "suffocate the media." While he considers the "enterprise doomed to failure and almost counterproductive for the government," the young boss calls on the authorities to "put an end to it and be aware of the major role played by the media in the advent of the three alternations in Senegal."

Speaking about the situation of the Future Media Group, considered to be the target of the Pastef government, Cheikh Niass expressed his "solidarity" to it, "and especially to its promoter, Mr. Youssou Ndour, who has demonstrated his leadership as an artist, but also undisputed leadership in the media field."

The CEO of the Walf group, who is full of praise for the man who wears many hats (artist, politician, businessman), believes that "everything he touches turns to gold."

Niass hammered home: "If you were to open the body of a Senegalese man, you would find 90% of them: Serigne Touba, some thiéboudieune and Youssou Ndour. This means that he deserves to be honored by the entire nation, and not to be fought by the regime."
