The religious city of Medina Baye (Kaolack) is plunged into mourning. Sheikh Baye Mbaye Cissé, brother of Imam Sheikh Ahmed Tidjane Cissé, passed away on the evening of Friday, October 3, 2025, in Morocco.
The late religious leader, son of Seydina Alioune Cissé, Grand Mukaddam and 1st Caliph of Sheikh Al Islam Sheikh Ibrahima Niass known as "Baye", is described as a serious, pious, generous, affable and very strict man regarding the observance of the precepts of the Islamic faith and the teachings of Sheikh Al Islam. His disappearance will certainly leave a great void within the Fayda.
In this painful circumstance, we bow before his memory and present our most sincere condolences to the Caliph of Medina Baye, Sheikh Mouhamadou Mahi Ibrahima Niass, to Imam Sheikh Ahmed Tidjane Cissé, to Fayda Al Ibrahimya and to the entire Ummah.
May Firdawsi be his eternal home, with the chosen ones of Allah. Ameen.
