British influencer Jordan James Parke, known for spending over €120,000 on cosmetic surgery to look like American star Kim Kardashian, died on February 18 at the age of 34.
According to People magazine, London Ambulance Service paramedics alerted police after discovering an unconscious man in London's Canary Wharf business district. By the time emergency services arrived, the victim was already deceased.
British authorities have stated that the death is currently considered "unexplained." An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
A cosmetic operation before his death?
According to several sources, the influencer underwent cosmetic surgery shortly before his death. Investigators have not yet determined whether this procedure is linked to his death.
As part of the investigation, a 43-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, before being released on bail pending further proceedings.
Obsessed with looking like Kim Kardashian
Jordan James Parke became known to the general public after participating in the reality TV show Botched.
Since the age of 19, he had undergone numerous procedures to try to look like Kim Kardashian: rhinoplasty, lip injections, laser hair removal, chin implant and even a BBL (Brazilian butt lift).
Nicknamed "King Lip," he cultivated a deliberately provocative appearance. In a 2014 interview with the tabloid "The Sun," he explained that his look was based on "the shock effect."
"I love the attention I get in the street. Even the hate motivates me," he declared.
Another ongoing legal case
The influencer had already made headlines in 2024 after being arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a woman who underwent a procedure at a clinic he co-owned.
Released on bail, he was due to appear in court next March.
Her passing has brought back into focus the excesses of cosmetic surgery and the pressure of beauty standards on social media.
