Adhésion à la coalition DiomayePrésident : Pape Thiam de Nataangue Sénégal dénonce les ralliements opportunistes
In a context of political rallying towards the DiomayePresident coalition, Pape Thiam, president of the Naatangue Sénégal party, deplores what he calls an "opportunistic rush" towards power, believing that some actors are primarily seeking privileges rather than a genuine commitment to serving the country.
"It's like taking advantage of the misfortune of others in the hope of gaining a benefit," he emphasizes in a post made this Thursday, November 20, 2025.
The president of Naatangue Senegal thus criticizes a political class which, according to him, struggles to place ethics at the center of its actions.
Furthermore, he warns against those who, in times of tension, "want division in order to exploit it." For Pape Thiam, such behavior could ultimately reveal to citizens the distinction between "dignified politicians" and "those driven by mere personal ambition."
In this regard, the head of Nataangue Senegal emphasizes the need for politicians to adopt a responsible and measured approach. Pape Thiam calls for calm and urges political actors to take a step back.
"In these sensitive times, it is important to take a step back. If a separation were to occur one day — which I do not wish for — everyone must maintain a posture of dignity," he says.
