Affaire Farba Ngom : Amsatou Sow brise le silence face à la polémique
The National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) responded on Wednesday, September 10, to the publication in the press of the contents of classified correspondence concerning a detainee's file. The institution considers this a serious act, liable to prosecution.
In its press release, the CNDH recalls that the law that establishes it allows it to issue opinions and recommendations on the prevention, promotion, and protection of human rights. It also has the authority to draw the authorities' attention to violations of fundamental rights and propose appropriate measures to put an end to them.
The Commission insists on the confidentiality of its dealings with judicial, governmental and parliamentary authorities.
"These initiatives are only made public through the annual report addressed to the President of the Republic," she explains, explaining that this rule aims exclusively to guarantee the protection of the rights of the people concerned.
According to the CNDH, the disclosure in the media of a letter marked confidential is not only an attack on compliance with procedures, but also a threat to victims whose rights could be compromised.
The institution also recalls its recent work, including the reflection workshop on the amnesty law on March 27, 2025. Nine recommendations were made at the time, including the establishment of a compensation commission to recognize the victims' suffering.
Finally, the CNDH welcomes the new authorities' stated desire to strengthen its independence through a new law. It considers this reform to be a decisive step toward consolidating the rule of law and promoting human rights, the pillars of democracy and peace in Senegal.

Ceci est valable pour tous ces gens qui ont collaboré avec le Gros et Gras réfugié au Maroc à la présidence dans le régime des prédateurs de la Republique
Ces prisonniers pauvres, sont dans des conditions horribles de detentions, se couchent à même le sol, dans des conditions precaires d'hygiene et de salubrité...
Pour les pauvres au senegal, il est normal de vivre en prison et d'y mourir en imbeciles, mais si lee prispnnier est plein aux As, il doit beneficier de traitement de faveur, le logement est bon, la nourriture de chez lui, ses visites et son.pavillon special...en même les droits de l'hommiste alimentaire eternel porte la voix des avocats de ces riches pour qu'il quittent leur prison doré parceque malade! Et quand les institutions publics qui font fi aux procédures judiciaires sollicitent leur libération c'est le sommet de l'idiotie!!
Ces prisons ne doivent plus etre pour les pauvres sans defence qui y sejournent et y meurent dans l'indifference de lz République.
