Affaire Prodac : La CCR dénonce un « acharnement judiciaire » contre Pape Malick Ndour
The Convergence of Republican Executives (CCR) expresses its deep concern over what it calls "judicial harassment" targeting its coordinator, Pape Malick Ndour.
According to the CCR, following the appeal filed by the public prosecutor's office and the judge's order requesting the detention of the former Minister of Youth on Wednesday, January 28, his lawyers filed an appeal to the Court of Cassation. This appeal, the CCR notes, suspends the detention order, in accordance with current legal provisions.
Continuing, she stated that she places her trust in the Supreme Court, maintaining that this jurisdiction rules exclusively on the basis of the law. However, she denounced the proceedings as an attempt at intimidation, believing that Pape Malick Ndour is being prosecuted for reasons related to political interests.
Appeal to the Court of Cassation, suspensive procedure
In its statement received, the CCR insists "on the need to preserve fundamental freedoms and respect for the rule of law, which it considers superior to any political consideration or extrajudicial pressure."
The organization "finally calls on the competent authorities to guarantee a fair and impartial handling of the case, in strict compliance with republican principles, and to refrain from any instrumentalization of justice for partisan purposes."
In conclusion, the CCR reaffirms its commitment to justice, freedom and the dignity of every citizen, regardless of their positions or influence.
