Arriérés des honoraires des arbitres : Une question écrite de Guy Marius Sagna débloque plus de 50 millions F CFA

MP Guy Marius Sagna revisited two issues he had publicly raised at the beginning of 2026, one of which had a favorable outcome thanks to a parliamentary interpellation.

On January 6, 2026, the elected official stated that he had no precise information on the make or price of the vehicle that the National Assembly was preparing to make available to him. While he has since observed, like all Senegalese citizens, the presence of Toyota vehicles, he maintains that he has not yet received an official response to his inquiries.

However, another of his concerns has received a concrete response. The government, through the Minister of Sports, has answered his written question regarding the outstanding fees owed to football referees in Senegal.

In his correspondence, Guy Marius Sagna raised concerns about the precarious situation of referees in National 1 and National 2, who had not received their fees since December 3rd and 9th, 2024, corresponding to the second matchday of the amateur championship. He requested explanations regarding the reasons for this delay and the payment schedule.

According to the Minister of Sports, this parliamentary inquiry led her department to contact the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF). This action resulted in the full regularization of delegates' and referees' fees for the current fiscal year, before March 30, 2025.

In total, an amount of 50,667,800 CFA francs was released and distributed as follows:

Federal delegates: 8,196,200 CFA francs

Women's football referees: 9,533,390 CFA francs

National 1 and National 2 referees: 15,373,700 CFA francs

LSFP referees: 14,264,800 F CFA

Referees for the Senegal Cup: 3,299,700 CFA francs

Welcoming this progress, Guy Marius Sagna commended the Minister of Sports for her work and encouraged her to continue her efforts. He specifically urged her to be even more attentive to other sports federations and to strengthen grassroots sports, a crucial pillar of social development and national cohesion.

    .L'argent du pétrole sénégalais
