AFFAIRE ASER-AEE POWER EPC : Thierno Alassane Sall n'en démord pas
"The appearance of the Minister in charge of Energy before the National Assembly is very instructive.
He evaded my clear and precise questions about the exact number of villages electrified by AEE POWER EPC, citing the fact that the case was pending before the courts. Such a justification can legitimately be questioned: can a legal matter prevent the communication of objective, verifiable, and neutral information to the National Assembly? Such communication cannot hinder the ongoing investigation. Failing to provide an answer to Parliament seems, on the contrary, to violate the principle of separation of powers,” said MP TAS.
For him, one question remains persistent: "What is the exact use of the 37 billion CFA francs already mobilized or, at the very least, where is the list of at least 600 electrified villages that would allow us to attest to the proper allocation?", he asks.
In the absence of tangible evidence, Thierno Alassane Sall believes that the dissonance appears manifest with the particularly insistent communication of ASER which, he affirmed, through extensively publicized tours, strives to present the AEE POWER EPC project as unfolding without a hitch.
"A rigorous investigation would shed light on the situation. In the meantime, ASER, which has suddenly interrupted its propaganda tours, and other state representatives are reportedly on their way to Spain. Are they hoping for a miraculous lifting of the suspension of disbursements decided by the Spanish donors? This mission is more likely aimed at confusing people with a new public relations operation," the MP said.
TAS recalls that after the first order of the Supreme Court, which rejected ASER's request to annul ARCOP's decision to suspend the contract awarded to AEE POWER, various State services had contacted the Spanish lessors.
According to him, these services had pleaded in vain for the lifting of the funding suspension. But, he added, although there was no change in the position of the Spanish donors, ASER, supported by the State Judicial Agent (AJE), was able to obtain a reversal order from the Supreme Court.
"A true miracle: to have been able to transform a failure at the end of negotiations with the Spanish lenders into a legal victory... which does not change the status quo, since the suspension of funding remains. It is in the hope of repeating such an operation of the Holy Spirit that the mission is flying to Madrid," revealed TAS.
On the other hand, the leader of the Republic of Values continued: "Only a malicious mind would find fault with the eagerness to proceed with the inevitable and upcoming appearance of all the protagonists of this dark affair before the Research Section."
Furthermore, Thierno Alassane Sall pointed out that MP Adama Diallo (independent), former Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Director General of Petroleum until 2024, asked ASER, through Minister Birame Soulèye Diop, to cite a single rural electrification program launched by the Agency under the current administration. According to TAS, the clear answer is: NONE.
He also noted that MP Djimo Souaré, for his part, criticized the excessive media coverage of village electrification programs launched under Macky Sall's administration. TAS reported that ASER recently boasted about electrifying villages in the Kédougou region, claiming it had achieved improved regional equity. However, he clarified, these villages were electrified through the GAUFF INTERNATIONAL program launched in 2017.
"This is probably why the minister dodged these questions. In view of all these elements, the absence of factual answers, the contradictions between official communication and the reality of the programs, the uncertainties about the use of the funds, it seems understandable, although regrettable, that the minister carefully avoided answering precisely the questions posed by the national representation," lamented TAS.

Le dossier est en justice, ça ne sert à rien d’aller voir les médias pour porter presse.
De plus il n’a qu’à clarifier ses relations avec Seydou Kane . Est-ce qu’il n’a pas le couteau sous la à la gorge pour être obligé de le défendre ? Farba Ngom avait dit ……
C'est la stratégie de PASTEF de répéter des mensonges pour en faire une vérité. Si ce dossier est devant la justice, cela ne veut pas dire que l'on ne doit pas en parler surtout lorsque cela incrimine le pouvoir.
Cette affaire est une patate chaude pour l état, Birame souleye diop pouvait au moins en parler .Avec l intrusion du député Adama Diallo maire de grosses qui connaît très bien ce secteur je commence à croire à TAS ,EN TT CAS Abass Fall et Sadikh top vont guoukhi sou niou Khaliss
