Assemblée nationale : 25 ministres de l’actuel gouvernement seront auditionnés à partir de ce mardi
The National Assembly will hold hearings with 25 members of the current government starting tomorrow, Tuesday. The announcement was made by one of the institution's vice-presidents. Dr. Ismaila Diallo explained on Monday that, as part of strengthening parliamentary oversight, a work schedule has been established for ministerial hearings by the standing committees.

"This initiative, unprecedented in the parliamentary history of Senegal, aims to structure and systematize exchanges between the executive and legislative branches. It will allow members of parliament to fully exercise their mission of monitoring, evaluating and controlling government action, within a better organized and more efficient framework," he stated.
This initiative will allow committees to have greater visibility into the work of these ministers, to establish more regular hearings, and to conduct more in-depth analyses of public policies. The MP states that this represents "a clear commitment to modernizing parliamentary practices, as well as a dedication to transparency, accountability, and the effectiveness of public action."
The hearings will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, April 21. Two ministers will appear before the members of parliament: Daouda Ngom, Minister of Higher Education, and Abdourahmane Diouf, Minister of the Environment. The schedule is attached.
