Audience au Palais : ce que El Malick Ndiaye et Diomaye Faye se sont dit
The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, granted an audience this Monday at the Palace to a delegation from the 32nd African Regional Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (APF), led by the President of the National Assembly, El Malick Ndiaye.
According to a statement from the presidency, the discussions focused on the work of this meeting, organized in Dakar from May 18 to 20, 2026, as well as several current international issues. The presidents of Francophone African parliamentary chambers notably discussed with the head of state "the crises affecting the continent and the situation in the Middle East."
The meeting was also an opportunity for parliamentarians to report to the Senegalese president "on the substance of their discussions", in a context marked by security, political and diplomatic challenges in several regions of the world.
On behalf of the delegation, Hilarion Etong Ndzong praised "Senegal's commitment and the measures taken for the success of this work."
With this Regional Assembly, Senegal intends to reaffirm its commitment to inter-parliamentary cooperation, stability and regional integration within the Francophone African space.
