Babacar Ba aux tenants du pouvoir : « Un pays ne se gouverne pas par des rivalités personnelles »
The president of the Forum of the Justiciable, Babacar Ba, expressed his concern about the current political climate at the highest levels of government. In a message posted this Saturday on the social network X, he directly addressed President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, urging them to refocus public action on the needs of the people.
Babacar Ba believes that internal political tensions are hindering the country's progress. "Your political differences are having a negative impact on the effectiveness of government action," he warned, before calling for a break with positioning disputes: "A country cannot be governed by personal rivalries or verbal sparring."
For the civil society leader, the real urgency lies elsewhere, particularly in improving the living conditions of workers and the most vulnerable. He urges the two heads of the executive branch to "get to work now to alleviate the suffering of the working class." According to him, governing a state must be reflected "in actions, in clear decisions, in a shared commitment to serving those who are suffering and who are waiting for concrete solutions."
