Barthélemy Dias: «Le Sénégal est malade, il manque d'autorité, de leadership… »
Barthélemy Dias has once again attacked the Diomaye-Sonko “duo”. During a press conference held today at the headquarters of his political movement, he asserted that the country has been sold to a “duo” which, according to him, has proven to be a major disappointment.
“Senegal is sick. This illness, unfortunately, has no name. It is sick because you were promised a duo. And this duo, today, turns out to be a big disappointment,” said Barthélemy Dias.
Without naming them, he continued: "Unfortunately, this duo still hasn't understood that they weren't invited to sit on a sofa, but rather in an armchair. And that armchair can only be occupied by the person who was elected by the Senegalese people."
In a critical tone, the former mayor of Dakar insisted: “I repeat: Senegal is sick. It lacks authority, it lacks leadership and vision. Today, the priority of this regime is not to pay student scholarships or to maintain certain benefits such as family allowances, but rather to compensate insulters and vandals, to buy vehicles for members of parliament, to continue to spread falsehoods and to continue trying to lull the Senegalese people, who are currently being tortured, thirsty and hungry, to sleep.”
