"C'est Haram" : La mise au point ferme d'Ousmane Sonko !
During the 48 hours of Pastef organized in Touba, Ousmane Sonko wanted to clarify the financing method of his party, while responding to criticisms aimed at the enthusiasm generated by the campaign to sell membership cards.
Speaking to his supporters, the Pastef leader affirmed that his political party does not rely on public resources to finance its activities. "Pastef is not a party that dips into the state coffers to finance its programs. That is haram for us," he declared, emphasizing his organization's financial autonomy.
Ousmane Sonko also attacked certain political figures whom he accused of being "bitter" over the success of Pastef's membership drive. He mocked this stance in Wolof, saying: "sou amoul mort dina am blessé," a phrase meaning that even if there are no deaths, there will at least be injuries among those who harbor this resentment towards his party.
Under fire from critics, the president of Pastef sought to reassure his supporters about the trajectory of the political party, affirming that it would continue to move forward without being distracted by the attacks it is facing.
