Cohésion nationale : l’appel pressant d’Amadou Ba face aux tensions sociales
The "New Responsibility" movement officially launched the sale of its membership cards. On this occasion, Amadou Ba delivered a message imbued with restraint and collective responsibility, in a national context marked by the recent tragedy within the university community. Addressing his activists and supporters, the former Prime Minister first framed his remarks in moral terms: "We are believers, and good believers do not remember bad things," he declared, urging them to prioritize solidarity.
Referring to the President's invitation during the celebration of the Indomitable Lions football team, Amadou Ba emphasized the need for national unity, both in times of success and adversity. Speaking gravely about the tragic death of a student, he stated that this event should be a wake-up call for the entire academic community. He called for prioritizing consultation and the search for consensus-based solutions before drawing any hasty conclusions, while stressing the importance of internal dialogue to identify lasting solutions.
Amadou Ba also emphasized the stance that political actors must adopt in the face of social tensions. Advocating for responsible engagement that transcends political divides, he stated, "We, as politicians, regardless of our affiliation, must take up the mantle." He urged his peers to avoid making rash pronouncements that could exacerbate tensions.
Finally, the leader of "New Responsibility" indicated that his movement is working on concrete proposals intended to fuel the national debate and strengthen the social and political stability of the country.
