Congrès «illégal» : la réplique de Waly Diouf Bodiang à Aldiouma Sow
Aldiouma Sow, the Pastef party leader and advisor to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, stated this Saturday that their party's congress, currently underway, is illegal. Waly Diouf Bodiang, his party colleague and close ally of Ousmane Sonko, was quick to respond.
"It is not up to Aldiouma Sow to declare illegal a congress in which he did not dare to participate. He should have had the courage to come and defend his opinion in public. The war he is waging alone in his living room has no impact on the current course of political events," he retorted.
Indeed, the minister-advisor, who is rather in the camp of President Diomaye, judged the congress illegal, "because the electoral process on which it is based directly violates articles 14, 17, 27 and 29 of the internal regulations of our Party," he indicated.
And so, for him, the resolutions that will be adopted at this congress, the policy texts that will be approved there and the leaders that will emerge from it, will be "tainted with nullity and cannot engage our responsibility," he says.
