Polémiques, candidatures "fantaisistes" avant le Congrès : Le rappel à l’ordre de Amadou Bâ de Pastef
As it heads towards its congress, the Pastef party has been anything but calm these past few days. And the newly appointed national secretary for communication, Amadou Bâ, has stepped forward to clarify the situation.
"Those who stir up sterile controversies of all kinds, as well as the attention-seeking entertainers who proclaim their thunderous candidacy for the Presidency of Pastef, do not understand the issues of the moment, nor do they respect the memory of the deceased activists who sacrificed their lives for Pastef," he posted on his page.
Amadou Bâ, who is also Minister of Culture, is asking his party colleagues to refocus on the Congress, which "will be followed by the international community." "And let us ask the polemicists to return to us after this historic conclave," he adds in his post.
He calls on his party colleagues to keep in mind, constantly and clearly, the context in which the Congress is taking place: "A troubled global geopolitics in full transformation and the upcoming shift in the political field due to the adoption of constitutional, judicial and electoral reforms, should be our sole concerns and discussions," he tells them.
