Crimes et tortures durant les événements politiques : L’annonce du ministre de la Justice !
Last July, Pape Abdoulaye Touré wrote to the head of state. In it, he challenged him on the "inertia of justice" regarding the cases of homicide, torture, and other inhumane treatment perpetrated during the political and judicial events (2021 and 2024). He has just received his response.
Indeed, the Presidency of the Republic instructed the Minister of Justice, who activated the prosecution. "The Minister notified us that a letter was sent to the Attorney General at the Dakar Court of Appeal, inviting him to initiate proceedings regarding the crimes committed during the political demonstrations," he said.
In his correspondence addressed to Mr. Touré, the Minister of Justice announced: "I inform you, in return, that a letter has already been sent to the Attorney General at the Dakar Court of Appeal to ask him to initiate proceedings in relation to the said facts."
A reaction from the public authorities that Mr. Touré welcomes. For him, this is a strong signal, reflecting a "clear desire of the new authorities to break with impunity and restore trust between the Senegalese people and their justice system."
However, Mr. Touré urges our fellow citizens to be vigilant and mobilize. "Because true justice is measured by concrete action. We will closely monitor the follow-up to this referral at the level of the public prosecutor," he said.
Mr. Touré announced that, in partnership with Amnesty Senegal and other organizations, a center of lawyers will be established to offer free legal assistance to all victims and families of martyrs, as soon as the legal proceedings are initiated.

Attention! la République a ses remparts! Si demain des milliers de vandales décident de brûler le pays pour déloger Diomaye, les FDS devraient croiser les bras et les laisser s'emparer du Président de la République et le traîner dans les rues, C'est ça la nouvelle doctrine du maintien de l'ordre?
