Crise dans l’Administration : L’Intersyndicale maintient la pression et annonce une marche nationale

The inter-union of administration workers launched its third plan of 48-hour renewable strikes across the entire national territory on Monday, December 15, with the aim of forcing the government to respect its commitments.

According to spokesman Omar Dramé, the strike is widely followed, with comrades having "scrupulously respected the strike order".

Condemnation of Government "Silence"

The union members, who have been on strike for three weeks, strongly condemn the government's attitude, marked by a silence they consider "a lack of consideration and respect for the unions." Omar Dramé deplored "the silence, indifference, and ignorance of the state, which has so far provided no response to our protest."

The coordinator reaffirmed the unions' determination: "Neither the civil service, nor the Ministry of Finance, nor the Prime Minister's office, nor the social dialogue council have yet provided any answers regarding our movement." He asserted that "the fight will continue" in the face of this situation, which he deemed "incomprehensible and unacceptable."

To intensify their movement, the inter-union group has announced a national march scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2025. This demonstration will be held in collaboration with the Federation of Health Unions (F2S). The march will begin at the Fann University Hospital Center and proceed to the Ministry of Health.

Omar Dramé stressed that "The march is a constitutional right" and asked the prefect to authorize "this peaceful march to show our discontent with the government".

The spokesperson reiterated that the main demand is the payment of five months' housing allowance, a commitment made by the government. He specified the amount: "We are demanding 1.6 billion for 16,000 workers. That is the amount that was approved by the members of parliament in the budget law."

He also mentioned the recent statement by the Minister of Finance and Budget, who had announced, during the vote on the budget of the Ministry of Public Service, the imminent signing of the decree within a week, a promise that has not been followed through.
