Culture nationale de protection civile : Bassirou Diomaye Faye appelle à une réforme en profondeur

Faced with a surge in fires, bushfires, road accidents, building collapses, and drownings, President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye made strong commitments. He also highlighted the increase in natural disasters, river flooding, flood risks, and coastal erosion threatening several areas of the country, during the Council of Ministers meeting held at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, February 25.

The President of the Republic expressed his compassion and national solidarity with the people of the village of Touba Thiarène, recently affected by a devastating fire. He stated that this situation necessitates a profound transformation of civil prevention and protection mechanisms.

With the International Civil Defence Day approaching on March 1st, he asked the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior and Public Security to expedite the approval of the National Civil Protection and Disaster Risk Management Strategy. He also stressed the importance of implementing the infrastructure and equipment plan for the National Fire Brigade (BNSP).

Strengthening the BNSP's human resources is also among the priorities. The Head of State wants to develop a genuine national culture of civil protection and establish a volunteer framework to support firefighters.

Furthermore, he called for the restructuring of the national civil protection governance system, including the High Commission and regional commissions, as well as the updating of disaster prevention and management plans, in particular the Emergency Response Organization Plan (ORSEC).

Finally, the President of the Republic instructed the relevant ministers to consider the creation of a national center for the prevention and management of risks and disasters, as well as the establishment of a strong national structure responsible for the strategic governance of civil protection.

A la place de diomaye, je démissionnerai. Pour la première fois de son histoire, le Sénégal n'a pas de président. C'est dommage! Il a décidé de ne pas exister. Il sera le "président" dont personne ne se souviendra. Il n'entrera pas dans l'histoire de ce pays

c'est de sa faute, la trahison ne paie jamais, il n'a qu'à essayer de se réconcilier avec les sénégalais en leur rendant justice par exemple comme promis sinon momme son mandat aura été le plus catastrophique de l'histoire politique du sénégal

Diomaye fait honte aux serrères. Un président qui est insensible aux difficultés des populations. On l'entend pas quand la case brûle. Vous avez envoyé les policiers pour massacrer les étudiants mais vous êtes restés aphones quand ils ont tué un étudiant. Vous ne ferez qu'un seul mandat. Vous connaissez mal les sénégalais.
