Culture républicaine : le général Jean-Baptiste Tine donne l'exemple
Former Interior Minister General Jean-Baptiste Tine, replaced by Bamba Cissé, moved out of his official villa at Fann-Résidence as soon as he announced his departure from the government. This move, hailed by the newspaper Enquête as an example of republican culture, is all the more striking given that the law allows outgoing ministers to remain in their residence for six months.
General Tine preferred to pack his bags immediately, handing over the keys to the house without delay, the newspaper insists.
According to the same source, the luxurious residence, renovated for nearly 200 million CFA francs under former minister Antoine Diome, had never been occupied by his successors, Me Sidiki Kaba and Mouhamadou Makhtar Cissé.
