Digitalisation de l’Administration : Ousmane Sonko exige un plan de déploiement avant fin mai
Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko instructed the Council of Ministers on Wednesday to accelerate the digitization of administrative procedures, as part of the modernization of public action.
According to the press release, this approach aims to build "a more efficient, more accessible and user-oriented administration".
To this end, the head of government asked the Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, in conjunction with the relevant departments, to submit to him "before the end of May 2026, a plan for the gradual deployment of the main administrative procedures on the national online services platform".
The expected document must include "an implementation schedule" and prioritize high-impact procedures.
This includes "the issuance of civil status extracts" and "procedures for obtaining a driver's license" as well as other formalities deemed strategic for citizens and businesses.
