Fonds de la Diaspora pour l’immobilier : Sonko a présenté le concept en Conseil des ministres
Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko presented the concept of the Senegal Diaspora Real Estate Investment Fund (FCPI-DS) to the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, February 25, at the Presidential Palace.
The objective is to transform financial transfers from the Diaspora into rental real estate investments, generating regular income for families and building sustainable wealth, without resorting to public debt.
Recalling that the Senegalese Diaspora sends nearly 10% of GDP, or 2,200 billion FCFA per year, mainly for consumption, the Prime Minister stressed that this fund will channel these resources towards housing and real estate.
The project, initially launched at the initiative of the Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation, follows instructions from the President of the Republic during the first National Diaspora Day. Sonko requested that the plan be finalized with all stakeholders before its implementation.
