Gouvernement de Diomaye : Les critiques du mouvement Guem Sa Bopp
The Guem Sa Bopp Movement observes that the Diomaye Sonko regime has betrayed popular hopes. For Bougane Guèye and his supporters, the promised break with the past has turned into a break with the people, particularly with the Goorgoorlou, who have been left to fend for themselves.
"This power governs from afar, in improvisation, opacity and enjoyment, while the country is suffocating.
"Unbearable cost of living, endemic unemployment, sacrificed youth, precarious student life, hospitals bled dry, abandoned rural areas. The people are suffering. The regime is parading. Accountability, brandished as a founding promise, has been emptied of all substance. It is now selective, under a justice system paralyzed as soon as the government is implicated," says Guem Sa Bopp.
This political movement adds that the public debt is exploding, and is contracted under opaque and leonine conditions, mortgaging the national future.
"Ratings are deteriorating, partners are doubting, and Senegal's credibility is crumbling. Faced with this, the State is hiding things: concealed figures, confiscated reports, locked-down information. The management of natural resources remains opaque, beyond citizen control, in flagrant violation of the principles of transparency. Faced with this serious drift, Guem Sa Bopp refuses silence, indifference, and resignation," denounces Bougane Guèye and his movement.
Guem Sa Bopp demands the immediate and comprehensive publication of the statistical report on the debt and the full and unfiltered publication of the reports of the IGE, OFNAC and the Court of Auditors.
Bougane's movement wants real accountability, without political protection or disguised immunity, so that public money finally serves health, youth employment, higher education, social grants, productive agriculture and student scholarships.
He also calls on state authorities such as Ousmane Sonko, Waly Diouf Bodiang, Birame Soulèye Diop, Abass Fall, among others, to make their asset declarations, with immediate, full and verifiable publication, without exception or delaying tactics.
Guem Sa Bopp also calls on the Financial Judicial Pool to initiate an immediate investigation into the complaints relating to the eight billion from Bakel and the funds from extractive resources, supported by the EITI report.
Bougane and his movement want the immediate abolition of slush funds and political funds.
Guem Sa Bopp also demands transparency on the peanut campaign.
"While farmers were protesting, the Minister mentioned 62,000 tons allegedly purchased by SONACOS, information that was refuted on the ground. At the same time, Ousmane Sonko announced 450,000 tons, while contract teachers and professors are still waiting for their December salaries. Who does the Pastef government think it's fooling? Senegal doesn't need an arrogant government, but a responsible state. It didn't vote for opacity, but for truth. It didn't choose a superficial break, but a real break with impunity. Guem Sa Bopp will not back down, the truth will prevail, and history will judge," declared Bougane's movement.
