Infrastructures sanitaires : Ousmane Sonko fait le point sur 310 milliards F CFA d’investissements
Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko emphasized on Wednesday in the Council of Ministers "the steps which require sustained monitoring" in order to ensure "rigorous and coherent management of government action", particularly in the health and pharmaceutical sovereignty sectors.
Addressing the monitoring of projects and agreements, the head of government presented "the progress of four priority projects in the health sector, representing a cumulative public investment of nearly 310 billion CFA francs".
According to the press release, "the work on the Seydi El Hadji Malick SY hospital in Tivaouane, costing 46 billion CFA francs, is 95% complete," while "the Aristide Le Dantec Hospital Reconstruction Project – PRHAD, costing 92.5 billion CFA francs, is 60% complete."
The Prime Minister also provided an update on two major projects led by the Pasteur Institute of Dakar in the pharmaceutical sector. "The AFRICAMARIL project, costing 21.5 billion CFA francs, is 80% complete," the statement indicated, adding that "the MADIBA project, estimated at 145.4 billion CFA francs, is 48% complete."
Faced with "the urgency and strategic impact of these projects", Ousmane Sonko gave "the necessary instructions" to the ministers in charge of Finance, Economy and Health "to accelerate their completion".
Furthermore, the Prime Minister revisited the commissioning of the Bargny-Sendou mineral and bulk port, described as a "strategic project of the State of Senegal", which is part of the dynamic of strengthening national economic infrastructure.
