Incident du discours à l’Onu : Ousseynou Ly et un conseiller spécial du Pr. Diomaye révèlent ce qui s’est passé
The incident has caused a stir. Yesterday, Monday, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye had to wait a few minutes at the lectern of the United Nations before being able to speak. Was this a blunder attributable to presidential protocol? His close associates have broken their silence on the incident.
"What happened during President Diomaye's visit was that his predecessor at the podium accidentally picked up the speeches as he left. UN protocol immediately brought the speech back," explains Abdou Karim Ndoye, special advisor to President Diomaye Faye and the head of state's designated photographer.
He therefore assures that "no fault is attributable to the Senegalese protocol, much less the aide-de-camp." Moreover, he specifies that at the United Nations, the presidents' speeches are submitted to the presidium by the organization's protocol. "They receive them all beforehand and organize them in order of intervention," he says in his text posted via Facebook.
Explanations supported by Ousseynou Ly. Stating that this is “what really happened,” the Minister Counselor, spokesperson for the Presidency, emphasized that this incident “will in no way detract from the quality of the memorable speech of the President of the Republic on the Palestinian question.”
For him, there is reason to be proud of Senegal and those who lead its destiny and make it shine, very often in the shadows.

Le ridicule ne tue pas au Sénégal
Même si c'était le cas (faute du protocole ONUSIEN) le président devait démarrer son speech par des considérations en attendant le discours. Le discours est important mais la prestance et la manière sont autant importantes. Aussi, il ne faut jamais avoir une seule copie de son discours dans ces genres de rencontres. Un autre discours à format de papier réduit devrait lui être remis. Beaucoup de présidents ont ces papiers notes qu'ils utilisent. Le président Trump en est l'exemple parfait. Donc, il faut se préparer sérieusement pour ces genres de rencontres pour éviter de tels errements.
