Kaolack : Le maire lance les activités aquatiques en prélude aux 105 ans de la commune
This Friday morning at 7 a.m., Koundam Beach was alive with the sound of aquagym, a pioneering initiative launched by the mayor of Kaolack, Serigne Mboup. Ahead of the municipality's 105th anniversary celebrations scheduled for December 25, 2025, to January 3, 2026, this event aims to highlight sport and the rehabilitation of this iconic location.
The mayor, a great promoter of sport, stressed the importance of promoting Koundam beach, which he discovered during his 2022 election campaign tours. Alongside the departmental sports inspector Mouhamadou Diarra Sèye, he urged Kaolack residents to participate in this healthy practice, emphasizing that the safety of bathers is guaranteed by the intervention of the firefighters.
Aquagym is just one of the many sporting activities planned, with days dedicated to sport on December 27 and 28, as part of a dynamic of renewal and local pride.

Ça fait longtemps je ne suis pas retourné à Kaolack, une ville où j'ai passé une partie de mon enfance. Je pensais qu'avec l'arrivée de Serigne Mboup à la mairie, il y aurait des changements mais j'ai vu une vidéo de Kasaville il y a quelques jours. C'est désolant. Eaux stagnantes et ordures ménagères jonchent les rues du quartier. J'ai 50 ans maintenant et j'ai fait l'école primaire à l'école Gambetta .
Tout est à refaire pour paraphraser le jeune influenceur gabonais.
