Responding to criticism from MP Cheikh Tidiane Youm regarding the low level of resources allocated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Minister Khady Diène Gaye sought to reframe the debate, calling for a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of the government's efforts on behalf of young people. She rejected the notion that youth receive only 0.5% of the national budget. "If you analyze the budget in this way, you risk missing the reality," she stated. According to the minister, the youth budget cannot be interpreted in isolation.

She noted that several ministerial departments contribute directly to addressing the needs of young people. "The budget of the Ministry of National Education is primarily allocated to young people. The same is true for technical and vocational education, higher education, research and innovation," she emphasized.

In addition to these structural expenditures, she explained, there are the various support mechanisms put in place by the State for the socio-professional integration and entrepreneurship of young people. She cited in particular the National Agency for the Promotion of Youth Employment, the Rural Electrification Development Agency, as well as the departments responsible for promoting small and medium-sized enterprises. "All these funds contribute to the benefit of Senegalese youth," Khady Diène Gaye emphasized, specifying that the government's approach is fundamentally cross-cutting.

Beyond the issues of infrastructure and financial resources, Khady Diène Gaye reiterated the primary mission of her ministry. She reaffirmed that her priority remains the training of responsible youth, aware of contemporary challenges and fully committed to nation-building. "We must prepare these young people to be model citizens, conscious of the issues at hand, so that they can shape the future of our nation," she concluded.
