La réplique du Pr. Lababa Faye à Guy Marius Sagna : "Le Sénégal n’est pas une transition !"
Following the statements of MP Guy Marius Sagna on the Diomaye-Sonko tandem, where he mentioned differences and the idea of a "transitional president", Professor Lababa Faye, member of MONCAP and the reasoned patriotic voice of the president, reacted strongly.
In a strongly worded statement, Professor Faye described Guy Marius Sagna as "a parliamentarian in disarray, oscillating between ignorance of PASTEF texts and contempt for the Constitution."
"Mr. Member of Parliament, after being rejected by the Senegalese people on the issue of legitimacy, here you are again launching the insane charade of some kind of transition. The Republic of Senegal is not a transition, much less a political testing ground! President Bassirou Diomaye Faye is not an interim leader: he was chosen by the PASTEF party – The Patriots, and the ballot boxes have clearly confirmed this. He is now the fully empowered Head of State, holder of the legitimacy of the sovereign people," Professor Faye reiterated.
He reiterates that the current presidential mandate is total and unconditional, in accordance with the Constitution. He also takes the opportunity to remind Guy Marius of the "role" of a member of parliament, in case he had forgotten: "It is to participate in the republican debate, not to reduce the authority of the State to internal party squabbles or backroom deals. Senegal has no use for these ego games and deliberate confusion. This semantic sabotage, orchestrated to sow doubt, fools no one."
According to Professor Lababa Faye, the country needs responsible legislators, not "political arsonists." "Now is the time for work, not diversion. The country needs responsible legislators, not political arsonists."
So, refocus on your duty: to serve the nation, not to sabotage the presidential function. Respect the Republic, respect universal suffrage and, above all, respect the choice of the Senegalese people," the professor teaches.

Diomaye n'existe pas politiquement. Il est une création de Sonko et il ne lui survivra pas. En ce qui me concerne, jamais je n'aurais voté Diomaye si Sonko ne l'avait pas désigné. Inchallah si Dieu me prête vie, en 2029, je ne voterai pas Diomaye même si Sonko le soutient. Il est de plus en plus évident que le Président Diomaye a dévoyé le projet. Il n'est pas le Président dont j'avais rêvé pour le pays. Pour moi, il n'y a qu'une constante, il s'appelle Sonko
