Launch of PROGRESS: Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko expected in Koumpentoum on Friday

Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko will chair, tomorrow Friday, March 21, 2025, in Koumpentoum (Tambacounda), the official launch of the Support Program for Actors in the Social and Solidarity Economy (PROGRESS) and Solidarity Productive Cooperatives (CPS).

According to our colleagues at APS who reported the information, PROGRESS corresponds to the pilot phase of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) Development Program for the Creation of Immediate Wealth (PRECOSOL).

The mission of this program is to "promote and strengthen the sustainability of local initiatives for harmonious economic development of the regions, based on productive solidarity cooperatives (CPS)."

It aims for "greater efficiency in the State's technical and financial support mechanisms for citizens in their economic activities which have a proven social and environmental impact."
