In the National Assembly, after repeatedly proclaiming his innocence in the legal cases against him, Farba Ngom chose the path of forgiveness. "I forgive without resentment," he declared before the members of parliament, referring to an ordeal that, according to him, tarnished his name but also allowed him to "restore [his] honor before the world."

Giving thanks to God, the elected official stated that he had seized this opportunity to proclaim his innocence before the nation. He affirmed his forgiveness "of the justice system" as well as "of those who manipulate the law" against him, while urging his family and supporters to adopt the same conciliatory stance.

Claiming to uphold his Muslim faith, he emphasized the spiritual significance of his actions: "I am not brandishing a Quran for no reason," he reminded, before concluding by calling for the entire matter to be placed "in God's hands, as good believers."
