Manifestations Ucad : Dieguy Diop Fall dénonce la répression et parle de « revendications légitimes »
The repression of student protests related to scholarships and social assistance continues to provoke reactions.
For Dieguy Diop Fall, former delegate of the Coordination of Students of Saint-Louis (CESL), these demands are not only well-founded, but fall under a basic right.
In a statement received by Seneweb this Monday, February 9, 2026, the former director of the Promotion of the Social and Solidarity Economy particularly criticizes the current logic of reform, which she considers unfair and brutal.
According to her, "wanting to reform because of the staggering of academic years due to the manipulation of the former opposition by sanctioning young students who have suffered is aberrant and astounding."
The member of the Alliance for the Republic (APR-opposition) thus condemns the method used by the authorities in the face of the student mobilization.
"The violence and haste of the regime's 'Gatsa-Gatsa' towards our young students must stop," she declared.
