Pastef : Ousmane Sonko lance la Commission nationale de placement des cartes pour bétonner la base
The leader of the Pastef party, Ousmane Sonko, wasted no time in sharpening his weapons in the aftermath of the Diomaye-President coalition's general assembly—which reeked of a split—held this past weekend. Targeted by several barbs from his allies and adversaries during this gathering on Saturday, March 7, the Prime Minister, in a near-open confrontation with President Diomaye, made a major decision aimed at consolidating his political machine.
Indeed, in a decision dated Sunday, March 8 (24 hours after DiomayePrésident's General Assembly), Ousmane Sonko announced the creation of the National Card Placement Commission (CNPC). This body is tasked, among other things, with "managing, organizing, and supervising the placement and sale of membership cards both within the national territory and in the diaspora," according to a "plan" and a "timetable" that it will establish.
By officially installing this National Card Placement Commission (CNPC), Pastef and its leader intend to transform the popular excitement into a structured and quantified militant force, undoubtedly sending a strong signal to its allies-adversaries.
The role of the CNPC is not limited to selling cards, as it is also responsible for "managing the installation and renewal of the party's basic structures," this, "subsequent" to the official identification of the members of the political formation.
The document also indicates that physical and digital cards are sold at: "1000 francs in the Africa zone, 20 euros in Europe, 20 US dollars in Asia and America-Oceania".
