Sonko s'explique : «Le seul problème du Sénégal aujourd'hui, sur le plan économique…»
Ousmane Sonko launched his political tour, which will take him to Guinguinéo this Saturday. He made a brief stop in Fass Barigo, where he spoke with the people who had come to welcome him. Addressing them, he declared that "Senegal has only one economic problem today, and that is the debt incurred and concealed by the previous regime."
Indeed, the Pastef leader explained to the audience that this so-called "hidden" debt, equivalent to 7 trillion CFA francs, "was not approved by the National Assembly." It therefore did not follow the required procedure, he said. "That is what created this situation. This debt is the problem facing Senegal today," stated the leader of the "Patriots."
However, he indicated that despite the impact of this situation, the current regime has reduced the prices of several commodities. It has even lowered the cost of electricity, he said.
He also assured that within a few years, the difficulties in peanut farming and marketing would be resolved. As part of this effort, the government will upgrade the Sonacos factory with new machinery capable of processing and exporting peanut products.
