"Téra meeting" de Sonko : "En décalage total avec les souffrances des populations" (Abdou Mbow)
The "Téra Meeting of November 8th", organised by Ousmane Sonko and his Pastef party, aimed to revive the political machine, but this initiative is causing a great deal of controversy within the opposition.
On Iradio, during the Sunday Jury program, parliamentarian Abdou Mbow strongly condemned the event. According to him, organizing such an event "in the midst of a socio-economic crisis" is "completely out of step with the suffering of the people."
"This is not the time to celebrate," Mbow insisted.
The parliamentarian expressed his indignation at the Prime Minister's timing: "Senegalese people are hungry, the economy is broken down, young people are unemployed and the Prime Minister finds the time to organize a meeting? It is a lack of respect towards the Senegalese people," he fumed.
Abdou Mbow also accuses the government of using public money to finance this political mobilization, declaring: "As usual, they will dip into taxpayers' money."
Asked about the "political duel" of November 8, which pits Sonko's meeting against Bougane's "Niaxtu National" against the high cost of living, Mbow indicated that the FDR (Front for the Defense of the Republic) would rally behind any initiative aimed at "alleviating the suffering of the people."
Mbow finally criticized the government for confusing political role with the exercise of power: "A party in power should not be in the streets. It must find solutions, not put on political shows," he concluded.

Les libertés ont été bafouées . Vous avez tuez et emprisonné des citoyens.
Vous devez vous taire.
Pauvre pays perdu de bêtises et de mesurage de bit....
