THIÈS : Le collectif Rappel à l'ordre tire sur Sonko et le Pastef
The "Recall to Order" collective held a press conference this Sunday to express their outrage at the ban on the opposition's national Niakhtou rally, which was scheduled for Saturday, November 8th. According to the collective, the Dakar prefect's order is an infringement on their freedom of assembly and has no legal basis.
Furthermore, Assane Cissé, president of the "Recall to Order" collective, criticizes what he calls the disarray within the government, due to the attitude of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. "There is a duality between President Diomaye and his Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. Sonko is the problem and the source of the disorder in this country, because he is the only one who has been on familiar terms with all of Senegal's institutions. And if you so much as speak to him, you are summoned by the courts. He is only interested in himself," said Assane Cissé.
According to him, Sonko is disrespectful to the President of the Republic and attacks everyone he meets. That's why the group is calling the Prime Minister to order and urging him to fulfill the promises he made during the presidential campaign.
