Ayib Daffé charge l’ancien régime : « Sous Macky Sall, l’opacité était la règle »
A guest on iRadio's Sunday Jury, Ayib Daffé, president of the PASTEF parliamentary group, denounced governance practices under the Macky Sall era, which he said were marked by opacity and budgetary irresponsibility. He defended the Diomaye Faye government's radical approach, based on transparency, accountability, and truth in public accounts.
For Ayib Daffé, Senegal is now paying the price for a decade of opaque management under Macky Sall. "For years, debts were incurred without real parliamentary oversight, financial commitments made without the people being informed. We say stop to this culture of secrecy," he declares. According to him, the new government embodies an ethical and institutional rupture. "President Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko have placed accountability at the heart of their actions. Every franc spent must be justified, every public policy evaluated. We must reconcile the state with the truth," he asserts.
Ayib Daffé emphasizes that this demand for transparency is not a witch hunt, but a step toward national clarification. "We were not elected to humiliate anyone. But the people must know what has been done with their money. It is a moral and democratic requirement." The MP welcomes the head of state's desire to publish budgetary data and public contracts: "This is unprecedented in Senegal. Macky Sall had locked down access to economic information. Today, we are opening the books, because trust cannot be decreed, it must be earned." For him, the time for privileges and backroom deals is over: "This country is entering a new era. Opacity has fueled corruption; transparency will be the basis of sovereignty."

Chez vous les adeptes de la transparence, avec la dernière situation d’exécution du budget 2025, on ne sait pas combien la Présidence et la Primature ont dépensé dans les détails.

On vous a élus pour mettre au gnouf tous les délinquants financiers.Mais on dirait que vous avez peur.Sii vous comptez sur les juges qui vous ont mis en prison et écarté Sonko, alors quand Macky reviendra il vous mettra tous en prison.Et personne ne se soulèvera cette fois-ci.Votre layem-layemi est insupportable.
