78e Gamou de Médina Niassène Keur Madiabel : L'islam comme modèle de bonne gouvernance
The 78th edition of the Gamou of Medina Niassène Keur Madiabel was held this Saturday in the presence of religious, political, and traditional authorities from the Nioro department. Presided over by the Prefect of Nioro, Ibrahima Fall, the official ceremony was attended by Mamadou Lamine Ndiaye, the Director General of APROSI, and Member of Parliament Rokhaya Ndiaye, among others.
The president of the Hadara Albakiria gathering for the coordination of events in Medina Niassène (RAHABCE), Serigne Aliou Barham Niass, returned to the central theme "The vision of Islam on good governance".
"The objective of this theme is to ensure that the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad are known, because in these times we need models and references in all areas, but especially to know how to govern so that everyone can live in peace," he argued.
According to him, the essential principle of governing and managing a leader is based on justice. Justice is there to normalize, stabilize, and secure.
Prefect Ibrahima Fall paid tribute to the Niass family for their role in regulating and promoting civil peace throughout the Nioro department. He expressed his satisfaction with the excellent collaboration with the family regarding the organization of the event and the positive feedback they received.
As a reminder, the Gamou of Medina Niassène Keur Madiabel is organized around Cheikh Baye Mbaye Niass, brother of Baye Niass Cheikh Al Islam, to whom the latter had given the mission of expanding Islam in this northern part of Kaolack.
