Convention annuelle de la Jeunesse des assemblées de Dieu de Dakar : Une 7e édition placée sous le signe de l’engagement
The Dakar Assemblies of God Youth (JAD) held its 7th annual convention this week, an event that brings together hundreds of young people from the capital's 14 churches. Organized under the theme "Running Toward the Goal," this gathering is intended to be a powerful moment of renewal, inspiration, and commitment for Christian youth.
Beyond its festive and fraternal nature, this convention is an opportunity for evangelical youth to reflect on their place in society and in the Church. JAD President Isaïe Kessie emphasized the need to strive for excellence in both faith and action. "Efforts are only valuable when they are successful, because it is the materialization that proves the work accomplished," he declared.
In a context marked by social, economic and spiritual challenges, the organizers intend to make this 7th edition a symbolic step.
"In spirituality, the number 7 refers to perfection. We ask God to perfect the gifts and talents of young people so that they become model citizens, useful to society," the president continued.

The event, punctuated by moments of praise, biblical teachings, practical workshops and times of prayer, highlights a youth determined to make a difference.
"It is in our youth that we have the strength to serve God. Jesus and youth are linked, because it is during this period of life that he carried out his ministry. We want to be like him as young people," Isaiah Kessie emphasizes.

C'est du n'importe quoi ! Encore des églises qui nous retardent et nous distraient. Tout comme les mosquées d' ailleurs.
