Gamou 2025 : Le Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal apporte sa contribution aux familles religieuses de Tivaouane et de Ndiassane

On the occasion of Gamou 2025, Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal (CMS), through its foundation, has, as it does every year, made its contribution to the religious families of Tivaouane, the holy city of Mame Maodo, and Ndiassane, the spiritual capital of the Qadiriyya. These additional provisions are normal in this type of situation.

For the spokesperson of the CMS General Management, Moustapha Kane, leading a large delegation, this Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal is visiting Tivaouane and Ndiassane to hold its traditional annual Ziara. A moment of reunion with the Tidiane community, but also with all Muslims in Senegal and all those linked to the celebration of the birth of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

For Mr. Ndao, "it is an annual meeting that we respect, to remain in line with the values of our institution, Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal, a mutual society that belongs to its members and we are at the service of these members."

"It's about coming to celebrate Gamou with our means, sharing the fervor that exists in these sanctuaries of Islam. Communion with religious families is part of our values and the values of sharing that we have with our members."

Mr. Ndao also discussed the CMS's activities: "We serve the population. We often say that we are the bank for the poor, and that is where respect is most felt, through the different types of credit we offer our members."

Moustapha Kane continued: "We have also recently launched digital activities to expand the accessibility of our services. We have a product called CMS-Mobile, which is now available from any mobile phone and which allows us to address the needs of the population more broadly."

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of CMS Funds, Amsata Sow, for his part recalled that the CMS, on the eve of each Gamou, sends a strong delegation composed of the foundation, the Board of Directors and the General Management, to carry out its Ziara with the religious leaders, in Tivaouane and Ndiassane, and collect their prayers for the institution.

The former Chairman of the Board of the Union of Mutual Credit Unions of Senegal, Mor Ndao,

came to represent the president of the foundation who was unable to attend, and hopes that the prayers of religious families will provide the bulk of the aggregates, because, he says, "today, we are breaking the record for territorial coverage, we are also breaking the membership coverage, with 1.5 million members and 219 points of sale in Senegal."
