The Magal of Porokhane, celebrating Mame Diarra Bousso, is planned for January 29, 2026. This date is set by the general caliph of the Mourides Serigne Mountakha Bassirou Mbacké.
This magal is very important for the Mouride community. It celebrates Mame Diaka Bousso, the mother of Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba Khadimou Rassoul Mbacké, founder of the Mouride brotherhood. Porokhane is a town located in the Nioro department. It attracts thousands of disciples every year.
