Gendarmerie : Le général Martin Faye propulse les cadres féminins vers l'excellence

Major General Martin Faye, High Commander of the National Gendarmerie and Director of Military Justice, presided over the closing ceremony on Friday of a training session in strategic communication, leadership, and public speaking, organized for female officers of the Gendarmerie. This initiative marks a turning point in the Institution's policy of developing human capital.

It was within the premises of the African School of Oratory Art (EAO) that this high-ranking ceremony was held, in the presence of the coordinator of the Joint Operational Partnership (POC2), Lucie Hofmann, as well as numerous civil and military authorities, Seneweb learned from Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.

Organised by the human resources chain of the national gendarmerie, this training reflects the stated desire of General Faye to prepare female executives capable of combining professional excellence, enlightened leadership and mastery of strategic communication in the face of the new security challenges that the Institution must face on a daily basis.

Far from traditional closing ceremonies, the event took the form of an ambitious grand oral presentation, structured around individual presentations, thematic panels, and an interactive television studio. This immersive format, designed to place the trainees in near-real-world conditions, highlighted their ability to analyze contemporary security challenges, their grasp of institutional issues, and their capacity to communicate with clarity, conviction, and insight.

At the end of a demanding course combining intellectual rigor and practical situations, the participants showed remarkable progress, demonstrating their ability to structure strategic thinking and to confidently embody institutional discourse in decision-making and representation spaces.

General Faye elevates communication to the status of a strategic priority

Addressing an attentive audience, Major General Martin Faye delivered a dense and visionary speech, elevating communication to the status of a fundamental pillar of modern command. He affirmed that the ceremony marked "an important milestone in the qualitative transformation" of the National Gendarmerie, before emphasizing with conviction that "communication can no longer be considered an accessory of command" but has now become "a strategic instrument" in its own right.

Clearly impressed by the quality of the performances observed throughout the session, the senior commander made no secret of his admiration for the trainees' commitment. He paid them a heartfelt tribute, declaring that they had demonstrated "that competence, talent, and rigor are not a function of rank, but of hard work and dedication."

These are powerful words that resonate as an encouragement addressed to all the female managers of the institution.

The ceremony ended in an atmosphere filled with pride and emotion, punctuated by the presentation of diplomas, a symbolic exchange of gifts and a group souvenir photo.

An epilogue befitting a historic moment which consecrates the affirmation of a female leadership fully integrated into the transformation of the national gendarmerie and the determination of General Faye to make training a central lever of the modernization of the gendarmerie.
