Affaire Softcare : Dr Moussa Diallo relevé de ses fonctions à la tête de la Directrice de l'Inspection pharmaceutique
The Softcare case has taken a new turn. The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene, Dr. Ibrahima Sy, has removed Dr. Moussa Diallo from his position as head of the Directorate of Pharmaceutical Inspection, Market Surveillance and Vigilance at the Senegalese Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (ARP).
"Mr. Serigne Omar Sarr, Pharmacist, Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Bromatology, payroll number 619.085/Q, formerly Director of Approval and Serialization of Medicines and Other Health Products, is appointed Director of Pharmaceutical Inspection, Market Surveillance and Vigilance, replacing Doctor Moussa Diallo," he signed, this Thursday, March 19.
Furthermore, in the December 22, 2025 edition of the daily newspaper L'Observateur, Dr. Moussa Diallo claimed that, during an inspection mission related to the quality of hygiene products, "Chinese nationals came to his office four times, carrying suitcases full of money and gifts," in an attempt to suppress "the scandal." The case is currently before the courts following a defamation lawsuit filed by the company Softcare.
