Bronchiolite : La saturation des hôpitaux inquiète en France, un signal d’alerte pour le monde
In France, the Île-de-France region is facing a surge in bronchiolitis cases. Pediatric services have been overwhelmed for six weeks, and 16 babies have already been transferred to other regions due to a lack of available facilities, according to the Regional Health Agency.
Emergency room visits increased by more than 7% among children under 2 years old at the end of November, confirming a strong strain in major hospitals such as Robert-Debré in Paris, whose 36 pediatric beds are now permanently occupied.
This situation brings back memories of the winter of 2022-2023, which was already marked by an intense epidemic.
Faced with this risk, French authorities are reiterating the importance of the preventive treatment Beyfortus, available in maternity wards since September 2025, which is 80% effective in preventing hospitalizations in intensive care. Pediatricians, however, regret the lack of information available to parents.
A global health issue
Although France is heavily affected, bronchiolitis remains a global problem, with seasonal cases observed in Europe, the United States and several African countries.
Senegal, which also experiences cyclical tensions in its pediatric services during viral periods, is closely monitoring the evolution of the international situation.

des enfants naissent chaque jour avec le sida hérité de leur mère positive, parlez-en au lieu de faire du baratin sur ce qui se passe en France, là-bas les enfants sont soignés correctement et ils ne laissent jamais une femme prête à accoucher devant la porte. A BON ENTENDEUR SALUT ! AMINE !
