Octobre Rose : 500 femmes dépistées à Yeumbeul grâce à la Fondation Senelec

As part of Pink October, the Senelec Foundation in partnership with the Senegalese League Against Cancer (LISCA), organised this Thursday, October 30, 2025, a major day of screening for breast and cervical cancer at the Yeumbeul Health Centre.

Through its Foundation, Senelec is once again partnering with LISCA to prevent and combat women's cancers, particularly breast and cervical cancer. This year, the Senelec Foundation donated a colposcopy machine to strengthen screening and early diagnosis capabilities in healthcare facilities. At the Yeumbeul Health Center, the Senelec Foundation enabled approximately 500 women to benefit from free breast and cervical cancer screening.

From the early hours of the morning, the Yeumbeul Health Centre vibrated to the rhythm of an exceptional mobilization.

Dressed in pink t-shirts and scarves provided by the Senelec Foundation, the women displayed smiling faces and a shared determination: to prevent rather than cure.

The Senelec teams were fully involved, supporting the medical staff in welcoming, guiding and raising awareness among the participants.

The women of Yeumbeul and other regions welcomed this wonderful initiative which allowed them not only to have access to preventive care, but also to exchange with health professionals in a friendly atmosphere, full of emotion and hope.

Through this initiative, Senelec consolidates its position as a responsible corporate citizen, committed within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), to actively contribute to the promotion of health and the prevention of women's cancers.
