Simulation pédiatrique: le Sénégal sacré champion du monde
Senegal has just showcased its medical excellence. Facing 22 nations from the Maghreb and Europe, young Senegalese pediatricians won the title of world champions in pediatric simulation, at the end of a high-level competition organized in Marrakech from June 25 to 28.
In a press release, Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar congratulated the winning team. Given that in simulation, every action counts (diagnosis, resuscitation, emergency decision-making), the Senegalese representatives distinguished themselves through the quality, precision, and composure of their performance.
Behind this achievement lies a team effort and high standards, praised by UCAD. They paid tribute to Professor Papa Moctar Faye, Head of the Neonatology and Multipurpose Intensive Care Unit at Albert Royer Children's Hospital, and Dr. Amadou Sow, Pediatric Intensive Care Specialist at Abass Ndao Hospital, who supported the team throughout their training. They also thanked all the supervisors and the entire medical community who rallied around them.
Beyond the trophy, this recognition speaks volumes about the level of training and expertise in Senegalese pediatrics. It highlights a medical school renowned for its rigor, innovative teaching methods, and ability to train practitioners prepared for real emergencies. Therefore, the higher education and research institution commends and encourages the graduates to continue striving for excellence and improving the care of children.
