120 kg de drogue abandonnés sur la plage de Tripano ( Mbour): les trafiquants demeurent introuvables
Law enforcement in Mbour carried out a major operation against drug trafficking on Friday, January 30, 2026, with the seizure of 120 kilograms of Indian hemp on Tripano beach.

The intervention by the Urban Security Unit of the Mbour Central Police Station followed the exploitation of operational intelligence indicating the imminent landing of prohibited goods by a pirogue on Tripano beach. Members of the Research Brigade were immediately dispatched to the scene.

On the shore, law enforcement discovered six neatly wrapped sisal bags. After counting, each bag contained 20 kilograms of cannabis, bringing the total weight of the seizure to 120 kilograms. The pirogue used for the landing had already left the open sea by the time the police arrived.

The seized goods were transported to the police station for the purposes of the legal proceedings. The investigation is actively continuing to identify and apprehend the owners of the goods as well as the crew members of the vessel that transported them.
