21 kg de drogue, un fusil et des cartouches saisis à Sédhiou : un trafiquant arrêté par la police avec 2 couteaux
On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, around noon, officers from the research brigade of the Sédhiou Central Police Station arrested an individual suspected of trafficking marijuana and possessing weapons without authorization. The suspect, identified as IB, a 48-year-old farmer residing in Sédhiou Santassou III, was arrested at his home.
During a search of the suspect's home, police discovered and seized a significant quantity of narcotics and weapons. The seizure included 21 kilograms of cannabis, scales presumably used to weigh the drugs, two knives, a hunting rifle, and eleven cartridges, according to Seneweb sources.
When questioned by investigators about the origin of the drugs, IB stated that the marijuana had been transported to his home on a Jakarta motorcycle by a man named F. D., nicknamed "Papis Poulo." However, Papis Poulo was not found at the scene during the police operation.
The Public Prosecutor at the High Court of Sédhiou has been informed of this case and the investigation is ongoing.
