70 millions FCFA de factures impayées : La Sen’Eau coupe l'eau d'une mairie !
Since Wednesday, water has stopped flowing from the taps at the Dahra town hall. Sen'Eau has suspended the water supply to the inter-municipal authority and removed the meter. This drastic measure follows the non-payment of outstanding bills totaling seventy million CFA francs. The debt collection operation was directly supervised by Oumar Thiam, the Sen'Eau territorial director for Louga.
The impact of this recovery plan could quickly spread throughout the entire municipality. According to our sources, several health centers, the central market, the community center, the municipal stadium, and schools in the commune are also threatened with service interruptions.
While awaiting the return of the precious liquid, municipal employees and residents are experiencing enormous daily difficulties at the town hall. Reached by telephone, Deputy Mayor Saliou Guèye stated that a memorandum of understanding with Sen'Eau will be established as soon as possible to resolve the situation.
