8 mars au Trésor : Entre panel de haut niveau et soutien aux victimes de violences à la Maison Rose
Following International Women's Day, the female staff of the Treasury, gathered through their association, brought comfort to the residents of the Maison Rose in Guédiawaye in a show of solidarity. The President of the Women's Association, leading a delegation, presented a donation of food and hygiene products to Ms. Mona Chaserio, the founder of this shelter for young girls and women who are victims of violence of all kinds.
Previously, women from the Treasury Administration gathered for a panel discussion on the theme: "Women's Leadership in Treasury Governance: Challenges and Perspectives." Chaired by the Director General of Public Accounting and the Treasury, and accompanied by his closest collaborators, the official ceremony of this meeting was a powerful moment of reflection and exchange, reaffirming the crucial role of female staff in the performance of our administration.
Following the celebration of March 8, the visit of the delegation from the Association of Women of the Treasury of Senegal (AFTS), led by its president Mrs. Khadidiatou Kébé DIOUF to the Maison Rose in Guédiawaye, was marked by emotion and generosity.
“A grand gesture, a great pleasure”: this is how Ms. Khadidiatou Kébé Diouf, president of AFTS, described the visit to the Maison Rose. According to her, this action was carried out within the framework of the DGCPT's social policy and the dynamic spirit of the Women of the Treasury Association.
For the president of AFTS, supporting Maison Rose is simply a matter of course. She spoke with emotion about the pleasure the members of the association felt in contributing to the care of children, often victims of violence, injustice, and social suffering. In her opinion, Maison Rose deserves wider recognition because it contributes enormously to the education and reintegration of these children. She appealed to other associations to follow this model and support this institution.
Finally, the president of AFTS emphasized the historic nature of this trip. Ms. Diouf indicated that it was a first for the Association and for the Treasury, while promising that this initiative would not be a one-off. She also affirmed her association's commitment to perpetuating this noble act of contributing to the care and management of the Maison Rose.
Visibly moved by the visit, Ms. Mona Chaserio, founder of Maison Rose, gave a deeply emotional testimony. She noted that visitors are very touched by the welcome extended to abandoned babies. According to her, this cause profoundly affects women and society, as it raises a persistent question: what future awaits these children? She explained that the home was created precisely to bring them joy and, above all, to teach them to exist as individuals in their own right.
With genuine gratitude, she warmly greeted her visitors. She thanked the Women's Association of the Treasury, noting their large turnout and their attire in pink, which she saw as a sign of their appreciation for the work being done. She concluded by expressing her hope that this collaboration would continue, affirming that they should all continue working together for a cause that, in her view, is self-evident.
Prior to this trip, the President of the Women of the Treasury Association, during a ceremony, expressed the gratitude of all the members of her organization to the Director General of Public Accounting and the Treasury, who, in turn, praised the dynamism, fighting spirit, and performance of these female staff members in elevating the Treasury to the forefront of major public administrations. Following the official ceremony, a panel discussion on "Women's Leadership in Treasury Governance: Challenges and Prospects" took place.
This theme was developed by Ms. Marcelline Sylla, a retired Treasury Inspector, and Mr. Mamadou Diop, Municipal Tax Collector of Dakar, who is also the President of the Association of Treasury Inspectors of Senegal.
